Did you know that before democrats took over Congress and the Senate in 2006 that the unemployment rate was 4%, which is basically considered no unemployment at all. And today the unemployment rate is a tad greater than 10%.
Now, even while the unemployment rate is "only" 10%, that there are twice as many people unemployed as there were during the Great Depression. And it's still considered "just" a recession.
Put that bit of information in your brain, swirl it around a while, and spit it out with a cherry on top. Put that in your virtual pipe and virtually smoke it.
