According the the latest Rassmussen poll, 75% of Americans say they are being taxed too much. Likewise, "75% of voters nationwide say the average American should pay no more than 20% of their income in taxes."
A neat thing about this poll is that 81% of republicans think they are being taxed too much, and 73% of voters not affiliated with either party think they are taxed too much. So, you can put these numbers together and conclude that most of these folks tired of being taxed too much are Independents.
Thus, the Tea Party movement consists not just a bunch of right wing nut jobs as democrats will have you believe, but republicans, independents, and probably even a bunch of democrats (I know some).
The tea party movement is not anti-government, no sir. The tea party movement is a movement of normal, ordinary, humble, hard working Americans who love the U.S, love their liberty, and want to share it with their children.
